To those who devote their time looking up outfit inspiration and spend money to keep their closets on trend, fashion has become another way of expressing our creative outlet. This past week was full on focus mode, catching every outfit in sight on the streets of New York. Fashion week came, conquered and left our little hearts wanting more.
Fashion bloggers and big celebrity names that attended the exciting week walked around the concrete jungle in fall’s upcoming trends. To keep our wardrobes on point and on trend this season, we rounded up some fashion must-haves that will be seen everywhere as fall approaches.
With the winter season approaching, the most fashionable ladies, such as Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, have brought back some of the most coveted 90s styles and we’re not complaining one bit. It is bringing back memories on the most coveted fashion outfits to date, like the matching double denim debut held by Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears at the American Music Awards. The choker trend dominated the Spring and Summer months and we’re happy to say it’s here to stay for this winter as well.
From long, formal gowns to an everyday jean and a simple bodysuit outfit, the choker is the perfect go-to to spice up your look. Lace, diamond-studded, leather, velvet, pearls, you name it. There is something about accentuating your neckline that can transform an outfit if thick chokers appeared all over runway shows for Oscar De La Renta, Balmain and Alexander Wang for their Fall/Winter 2016 line.
Chokers are not the only thing making a comeback this season. Expect some raw hems hanging from the knees, ankles or almost anywhere on denim jeans to be seen all over social media. Bloggers like Danielle Bernstein from WeWoreWhat paired the jean trend with simple black boots and a white T-shirt to keep the focus on the undone hems hanging around her ankles.
One last over-the-top 90s revival piece to stay on trend is the T-shirt under a thin strap dress combo. Just when you thought the 90s were over, celebrities like Kylie Jenner, who wore the adorned duo to the Coachella Music and Arts Festival, worked the look into various ways from grunge-cool to work appropriate.
With the temperatures getting a bit chilly, the t-shirt and thin strap dress combo will not be leaving us just yet. Trade the original white tee for a long sleeve turtleneck or an edgy vintage tee to spruce up a summer favorite. It is a simple and easy day-to-night outfit when you can’t find anything to wear.
Many trends come and go but clearly, the 90s are back and we’re obsessed. Start stocking up on statement chokers, ordering distressed denim and trading your t-shirts for some turtleneck and slip dress action to prepare for the cooler temperatures. Our brands, House of Harlow and LPA, recently stocked up on fall and winter wear that pair up with this season’s major go-to’s.
Of course, all the ways to perfect these styles are endless and revolve around the way a person wears them. All in all, from the streets to the dinner parties, these top styles are a way to start off the season.
